Privacy Policy

Chatter, Inc. DBA Tapsule (“Tapsule”) knows that you take your privacy seriously.  We are committed to giving you transparency of our privacy practices and control over your data in connection with Tapsule’s Services (as defined in Tapsule’s Terms of Service).

The Privacy Policy discusses Tapsule’s policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information. Tapsule receives your information through our various mobile platform applications, website, SMS, APIs, services and third-parties (“Services”). This Privacy Policy covers Tapsule’s treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) and other data that Tapsule gathers when you are accessing our Services. The Services are not available to individuals who are younger than 13 years old.

When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure, and other uses of your information as described herein. Irrespective of which country that you reside in or create information from, your information may be used by Tapsule in the United States or any other country where Tapsule operates.

Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create or reconfigure a Tapsule account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, username, password, and email address. Some of this information, for example, your name and username, is listed publicly on our Services, including on your profile page and in search results. Some Services through our website do not require registration.

Additional Information: You may provide us with additional information to make public, such as your interests, your location, or a picture. We may use your contact information to send you information about our Services or to market to you. If you email us, we may keep your message, email address, and contact information to respond to your request. Location Information: In addition to profile information, you may also tell us your exact location if you choose to enable your computer or mobile device to send us location information. As a content discovery and sharing platform, we use your location information to help improve our services, including discovering nearby people and content. Participating in public tapsules means that the whereabouts of that public tapsule is made known to everyone nearby via the Explore screen, as well as to followers of any contributors of that tapsule who are nearby. A private tapsule is hidden and only those who are contributors are able discover the tapsule. By default, users profiles will be discoverable to nearby users, as well as the tapsules that they create. You may change your privacy settings at any time, in your Profile on Tapsule, to prevent your profile and any tapsules you create from being displayed to nearby users in Explore who are not followers of yours or other contributors in your tapsule.

Links: Tapsule may keep track of how you interact with links across our Services, including third party clients by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to help improve our Services, including advertising, and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on.

Cookies: With respect to Tapsule’s website, we use “cookie” technology to collect additional usage data and to improve our Services, but we do not require cookies for many parts of our Services. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer’s hard disk.
